Locomotive dedicated at Maywood Station Museum open house
The fifth anniversary of the Maywood Station Museum was held at the Sunday, Oct. 4 open house. A dedication placing New York, Susquehanna & Western Alco S-2 Locomotive No. 206 on the State of New Jersey Register of Historical Places and the unveiling of a National Register of Historic Places marker on Maywood Station was conducted at 11:30 a.m. During the open house, the museum was also presented with a large donation of items for the museum from Louis, Douglas and Henri Dezso, including a hammer that was used by Louis's father on the New York Central Railroad in the 1930’s and a metal lunch box used by Louis's uncle on the Ulster & Delaware Railroad in the 1920's.
