Demarest resident Nancy Lynn (May 2006 (201) cover subject) has been appointed executive vice president of the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation (ADDF), founded and chaired by Leonard Lauder. The appointment, which will be effective as of Oct. 5, 2009, was announced by executive director Howard Fillit. In her new position, Lynn will be responsible for strategic planning, fund-raising, board development, public relations and marketing.
"Nancy Lynn brings an ideal background of nonprofit sector experience, human health-related board service, business development, fund-raising, and strategic thinking to help advance this vital and growing foundation. We are delighted to have this seasoned professional join our team as the ADDF pursues its mission to rapidly accelerate the discovery and development of drugs to prevent, treat, and cure Alzheimer’s disease, related dementias, and cognitive aging," says Dr. Fillit.
