The American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey

“Northern New Jersey Hometown Heroes” were honored by The American Red Cross of Northern New Jersey at the Annual Heroes Breakfast. The event, which was hosted by Unilever in Englewood Cliffs, recognizes selfless acts of courage performed by ordinary people and pets doing extraordinary things for others. Among the honorees were the crewmen of the ferry boats who helped save the passengers and crew of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 (The Miracle on the Hudson).
