CBHCare Foundation Annual Charity Golf Outing
Wild Turkey Golf Club at Crystal SpringsCountry Club, 1 Wild Turkey Way, Hamburg
The outing, co-hosted by CBHCare Foundation Board President Helen Kuruc and Vice President Gabriel Ambrosio, will be held at Wild Turkey Golf Club at Crystal Springs and will begin with a Bar-B-Que Luncheon at 11:45 a.m., followed by a shot gun start at 1 p.m.  An awards dinner will follow with raffle prizes and sponsor recognition. As in years past, every dollar raised goes toward providing the best behavioral health programs and services to northern New Jersey’s most fragile citizens.  Sponsorship opportunities are available.

5K and Fun Run
Oakland-McBride Corporate Park, 100 Bauer Drive, Oakland
All proceeds from the event will be donated to The Matthew Larson Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (IronMatt). Registration will be held from 7:30-8:40 a.m. The 5K run will begin at 9 a.m. with walkers to follow. The 1-mile Fun Run for children and families will begin at 10 a.m. The course is certified by the USA Track and Field Association and members can earn 500 Grand Prix points, as well as certified racing results. Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female, as well as age group awards in 10-year increments. Ribbons will be given to all children in the Fun Run. T-shirts are guaranteed to those who register for the 5K by Aug. 29.

The eighth annual Bike MS Hops to Hops Ride
The Inn at Lambertville Station, 11 Bridge St., Lambertville
The 2010 Hops to Hops Ride will start and finish at The Inn at Lambertville Station, alongside the Delaware River. Pedal a challenging 40-mile ride through scenic hills of New Jersey farmlands and finish back at the Inn at Lambertville Station. The ride will offer ride support with fully stocked rest stops every 10-12 miles, medical and mechanical support, SAG vehicles, police and motorcycle assistance. In addition, enjoy a celebratory lunch and tastings of River Horse Brewing Company's Ales. Cyclists must collect the $150 pledge minimum in order to participate.

Andiamo Benefit Motorcycle Run
Andiamo Restaurant, 23 Hardenburgh Ave., Haworth
This event, now in its 11th year, will once again raise funds for the new emergency care center at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, as well as other local worthy causes. The route includes major highways and local roads in New Jersey and New York. Sign-up begins at 8:30 a.m. Riders pay $30 and receive a limited edition Andiamo Run T-shirt. Passengers pay $15. The completely police-escorted ride will begin at Andiamo Restaurant at 10:20 a.m. A block party back, with live music and a full selection of delicious treats, begins at noon at the staring point of the run. The all-you-can eat menu includes pizza, hot dogs, chicken fingers, pulled pork and other crowd-pleasers. The party alone is $10. The rain date is Sept. 19.

16th Annual Englewood Hospital Golf and Tennis Classic
Knickerbocker Country Club, 188 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly
The classic, which will benefit programs and services at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, features an expanded schedule. There will be two shotgun starts for the golf program, 7:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., with a morning buffet and registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. and an afternoon buffet and registration starting at 11 a.m. The tennis competition begins at 1:30 p.m., with lunch and warm-ups beginning at 11:30 a.m. Cocktails and a buffet begin at 5:30 p.m. At 4:30 p.m., Julie Taw, M.D., medical director of the hospital's Center for Integrative Healing, will host a talk and discussion on the impact of stress on our health, some techniques to help manage the effects of stress and the role of nutrition. All classic guests are invited. Individual golf is $500 and tennis is $250. Sponsorship packages vary. The price of cocktails and dinner alone is $150, and includes Dr. Taw’s presentation.

Hispanic Business Council Scholarship Foundation’s Golf Outing

The day-long activities start with registration at 10:30 a.m., a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m., and a shotgun start at 1 p.m., followed by a cocktail reception and dinner with a presentation of prizes and awards in the evening. The Hermitage Benefit Golf Outing and Cocktail Reception

The Great New Jersey Country Bike MS Ride
The Great New Jersey Country Bike MS Ride passes through natural wildlife preserve, historic towns, farm lands and back roads of New Jersey’s finest countryside. There are several route options to choose from. On Saturday, the event will commence Morristown. The route includes fully stocked rest stops every 10-15 miles, a great lunch break and safety provided by volunteer EMT’s, HAM radio operators, the Wayne Police Department and bicycle repair from our partner bike shops. The day will conclude at the Parsippany Hilton where participants will be treated with meals, massage, musical entertainment and an evening comedy show.

Wyckoff Country Fair

All proceeds benefit the Eastern Christian Children’s Retreat, a nonprofit organization that provides residential programs and services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Rock Out

The Christopher Brandle Joy of Life Foundation is hosting its first "Rock Out” event. The day will include music, food and games for the entire family. The day will feature live music from Steve Brown and the Fallout, a DJ, a dunk tank, a 50/50 raffle and special events sponsored by the Bergen County Sheriff’s Department and the Department of Public Safety. Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for kids 12 and younger. Proceeds from this event will go to organizations dedicated to pediatric brain tumor research.

Angels of Hope Golf Outing

The Angels of Hope Foundation will host a special benefit golf outing event. The event will begin with a buffet lunch at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27 at The Ridgewood Country Club, 96 W. Golfers will have the opportunity to play the on the new championship course, site of the 2008 & 2010 Barclays PGA Tour FedEx playoff event and the 2009 Metropolitan Golf Association Open Championship. 10K/5K/2K Family Fun Walk

The Mahwah Schools Foundation will host its 13th Annual 10K Race/5K Run/2KFamily Fun Walk. The Mahwah Run is a celebration of running, walking, live entertainment, food, raffles and activities for the whole family. Activities include a 1K Walk in the Park, welcoming senior walkers, as well as “Trails to Wellness,” an event day health fair geared towards all age levels. Shotgun start for the 10K is 8:30 a.m., followed by the 5K at 10:15 a.m. Family fun activities start at 10:30 a.m. The 2K Walk and Walk in the Park begin at 11:15 a.m. and Kid Run Races begin at noon. The 10K and 5K races are USATF-NJ certified. Proceeds benefit the Mahwah schools.
