As part of its 10th anniversary celebration for the Angelica and Russ Berrie Center for the Visual and Performing Arts, a multi-media exhibition of works by visual arts alumni who studied in the Berrie Center, “Tops in Ten: A Selection,” will be showcased from Feb. 6-26 in the Kresge Gallery.
"The artists on view have established their artistic practice on a par equal to the best work being seen in leading edge galleries in New York and Berlin," says Sydney Jenkins, director of the art galleries. "The subject matter is varied, ranging from Los Angeles painter Dan Monteavaro’s compelling animal compositions, to Robin Cross-Keller’s 'Life of the Professor' series, to Bil Thompson’s film work with celebrities."
Artists include Hannah Craft (sculpture/installation), Eva Fazzari (photography), Robin Cross-Keller (paintings), Joshua Knoblick (sculpture), Robert Modafferi (sculpture/installation), Dan Monteavaro (painting), and Bil Thompson (film).
The opening reception will be 6:30-8:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, with artists’ talks at 7:30 p.m.
Gallery hours are 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 1-7 p.m. Wednesday. Special Saturday hours on Feb. 6 only are 3-8:30 p.m.
This program is made possible in part by funds from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts/Department of State, a Partner Agency of the National Endowment for the Arts.
